Adverts
After the enjoyment I got from my videography work in first year I was eager to gain more experience in this role for the advert. The final product I believe was very professional, and my eye for shots was clearly improving. I also took the role of co-editor, with the aim to create a heartfelt piece for both adverts.
Grade: 1st
A first attempt at a long form advert saw us choose charity Independent Options. We filmed on location for our b-roll and interviews, aiming to tug at viewers heartstrings.
Interactive Documentary
I was on my own for this documentary which was a huge challenge having balance all aspects instead of leading one role. As the doc expanded it became somewhat of a passion project as I delved into the history of the club. The result is something that I was very proud to achieve!

My second documentary is what's called an 'Interactive Documentary', in which I create a website for the user to navigate through and discover the documentary how they prefer. Mine was on the infamous Hacienda club and how gangs and drugs led to its downfall.

Independent Documentary
Studying The Hacienda Documentary had a significant influence on the way I approached creating my own independent documentary. By refining my editing process, I was able to structure my story more clearly and maintain a strong pace throughout the film. As a result, my final independent documentary product was professional, well shot, and edited to a high standard. The visuals were more considered, the interview content was richer, and the overall storytelling felt more polished.
Grade: 1st
After nearly two years of building my journalistic skills I was given the opportunity to take on my own subject for a documentary. Conducting interviews, filming and editing independently in a short six week timeframe.
